Esquisandra

Schisandra (Schisandra chinensis) is a climbing plant native to China and Russia, known as the "five-flavor berry" for its fruits that combine sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and pungent tastes. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to help the body adapt to stress, protect the liver, improve cognitive and respiratory function, and as an antioxidant. Its active compounds, such as lignans, give it anti-inflammatory, regenerative, and nervous system-supporting properties, although it is contraindicated during pregnancy.
